Ekene is an experienced engineer with over 25 years in the Oil and Gas industry, most of which was with ExxonMobil. She acquired skill sets across multiple disciplines such as Facilities Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Cost and Schedule, Project Management, Business Management, Safety Management. 

 

Ekene holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University and an Executive MBA from the Lagos Business School, where she achieved the lifetime Beta Gamma Sigma membership due to her excellent performance in the business program. Areas excelled in include: Financial Accounting /Management, Strategic Management, Operations Strategy, Human Behavior in Organizations, Economic Environment of Global Business, and Entrepreneurship. 

 

She is experienced in leadership of large, multi-disciplinary teams, and has worked in a varied portfolio of projects ranging from <$5M to $1.9 Billion. Experience covers a wide range of offshore projects from risers, slot addition, pigging, platform restorations to pipeline replacements. She has earned a reputation for strong interpersonal skills and commitment to excellence, which have been instrumental in the flawless execution of team goals. She is a lifelong learner and has consistently demonstrated her ability to acquire new skills and take on new challenges.
